
Early life and education
Sergio Santino is a Spanish actor, originally from Galicia, currently residing in Barcelona.
A graduate of the Plató de Cinema acting school in Barcelona, he has completed various specialized training courses in stage and on-camera acting throughout his studies. He has also taken voice-over and dubbing courses and participated in intensive on-camera casting programs in Barcelona. He teaches acting direction and leads specialized acting and creative workshops. In addition, he holds a degree in Advertising and Public Relations from the University of Valladolid.
He has starred in numerous plays throughout his career, mostly in Spain, though he has also performed abroad, including in Italy (Bologna and Naples) and Mexico, with the German tragedy * Fuera, delante de la puerta* (Out, in front of the door). His motivation to create chameleon-like and versatile characters has led him to work in all genres, from dark comedies to tragedies, including naturalistic dramas. A romantic actor, he prioritizes the creative process and theatrical truth, with a particular commitment to physical and vocal work in shaping the behavior, personality, and attitude of his characters.
She has extensive experience in front of the camera. She has worked on three feature films: Who Are You , directed by Javier Alba; Debut and Bubba , both awaiting release in 2025. She has had supporting roles in series such as You Would Do It Too (Disney+), Berto Romero creations like Look What You've Done and The Other Side (Movistar+), Fanatic and Iron Hand (Netflix). With more than twenty short films to her credit, highlights include Recognize , directed by Isaac Fluxà (official selection at the Malaga Film Festival in 2019), Macaroni and Tomato (winner of the Jerry Goldsmith Award for Best Original Score and Best National Short Film at Rafal en Corto in 2018); Herederos (which has 42 official selections at festivals and 5 awards, including the best actor award at the CFF in Los Angeles in 2020) and Lo que no nos decimos (which has 35 official selections and 3 awards), both directed by Txema Ballano.
